Falköping's primary schools are undergoing organizational changes following a revised school organization decision that creates opportunities for development work. As a municipal principal, you will be part of an exciting transformation! Who are we? We are now seeking a principal for the Floby/Odensberg principal area, with a grade F-6 school in Odensberg and a grade F-9 school in Floby. Together with an assistant principal and staff, you will drive and develop the school toward the future. The schools are organized as a principal area where collaboration and cooperation between schools and joint development work take place. One of several ongoing development initiatives is student welfare work, where current school leadership together with student welfare personnel are building structures and internal organization to strengthen the student welfare role in the school's internal operations. The schools are also part of the broader development work taking place throughout Falköping's primary schools, such as early language learning and mathematics. As principal of Floby/Odensberg, you will have great opportunity to continue developing the school toward the future together with your assistant principal and colleagues. Floby School is a grade F-9 school with an attached after-school center with approximately 320 students and operates in the Floby town center. Odensbergskolan is a smaller grade F-6 school with an after-school center with approximately 140 students in the community of Odenberg, about 10 minutes by car from Floby. The schools have strong work teams around the different grade levels at each school. What can we offer you? Currently, the school has a principal team with a principal and an assistant principal where responsibility for different areas is distributed through delegation. As principal, you will form a leadership team with the assistant principal. Together you will set the direction for work in the principal area. You will plan, implement, analyze, and evaluate school operations together with staff in systematic quality work. You will be driving and lead these processes that contribute to developing operations toward a future school. In your role as assistant principal, you carry responsibility for student, personnel, and financial matters. Together with the principal, you are responsible for monitoring results, evaluation, and analysis of systematic quality work. You will be part of a principal group for primary schools led by operations managers where you regularly meet other municipal school leaders and principals. Within the administration, various support functions are available to you in your role as principal. What are we looking for in you? The school's mission and documented ability to drive development. We want you to: - have experience leading within schools - have teacher training - be driven and passionate about development issues - have democratic and trust-based leadership We consider it a merit if you: - have experience working in municipal primary schools in the range F-9 - have some form of leadership training within the education sector As a leader, you are goal and results-oriented, stable, creative, persistent, communicative, self-directed, and organized. You can work independently while also having strong collaboration skills. You have clear mandate focus where student education is central and your leadership is based on scientific foundation and proven experience. It is important that you have the ability to build close and good relationships with students, guardians, staff, and colleagues. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
