The program has been under development in recent years and is now fully developed with all three grade levels and currently has two specializations. It is highly appreciated by students with strong enrollment demand. The Adapted Upper Secondary School encompasses both National Programs and Individual Programs. In the coming years, we anticipate an increasing number of students, which is very positive and may create opportunities and needs for additional educational offerings. The Adapted Upper Secondary School is located in its own sections of the facility alongside the large upper secondary school and adult education center in the House of Knowledge, which offers excellent facilities and collaboration opportunities. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Are you interested in working in an educational environment with excellent opportunities for collaboration with engaged staff and curious students? We are now seeking a leader who is driven by working closely with both students and adults and has humility toward and a strong commitment to driving ongoing development work. We are looking for you to take responsibility for the Adapted Upper Secondary School in Marks Municipality and for the Youth and Leisure Program at Marks Upper Secondary School. The House of Knowledge houses these operations together with the adult education center and the cultural school. You will work together with other principals in a local management team and participate in work carried out in the municipality's principal group, a forum for leadership and experience sharing. In your role, you will have central support in matters concerning student health, HR, economics, digitalization, facilities, quality and development work, analysis, and legal issues. As a principal: - you have responsibility for operations, personnel, work environment, and finances. - you are responsible for ensuring that content, development, and results follow national and local goals and governing documents. - you create conditions for learning and motivation around the joy of learning more. - you strive for an equitable school with high goal achievement. - you are responsible for ensuring that the organization enables student health work including collaboration to create an accessible learning environment for each student. - you lead teachers' and student health's collaborative cooperation in systematic quality work. - you are expected to analyze the connections between methods, student learning, and school results. - based on the democracy and values assignment, you work to design operations where trusting relationships are created with employees, students, and guardians. - you work toward good collaboration. During 2027, a review of the organization for adapted school forms within primary and upper secondary education will be conducted. As principal of the Adapted Upper Secondary School, you will be an important part of this development work and contribute analysis, experience, and strategic perspectives to ensure operations that meet students' needs and future demands. QUALIFICATIONS You have relevant higher education. State principal training and several years of school leadership experience are meriting. You are well versed in school's governing documents and regulations. You are confident in your leadership, which is characterized by engagement, clarity, presence, and your ability to develop your employees. You are accustomed to working in a goal-oriented organization with systematic quality work and development in focus. You are analytical and solve problems without losing sight of long-term strategies. You are stable and can show independence in decisions and take responsibility in daily work. You have good collaboration skills and in communication with employees and students, you harness engagement and ideas and create participation. You share the school's values where inclusion, equality, and diversity perspectives are natural parts. First interviews are scheduled for September 3. Final interviews take place September 11.
