Your Responsibilities As Principal, you have result responsibility for goal achievement and operational development. You also have responsibility for the budget and finances within the school district. As Principal, you need to work to maintain a balanced budget for the school district. You will coach and lead staff for the operational pedagogical development and work to implement the goals in the curriculum and municipal decisions about school operations together with your staff. You report directly to the Director of Elementary Education. You have responsibility for students and staff within the school district and you see collaboration in its various forms as an important part of leadership, where workplace environment matters are central. As Principal of Roma School District, you will also represent the school district in collaboration with other principals in the elementary school system. You lead and distribute student support work at the schools. In your work, you collaborate and receive support from the school district's currently three Assistant Principals. Who Are You? You have a teaching degree and have completed principal training. A category B driver's license and access to your own vehicle are required for this position. To succeed in this role, you need to have school leadership experience with pedagogical, personnel, financial, and operational responsibility, and experience working from governing documents and school law. It is a merit if you have experience leading Assistant Principals or other leadership functions, as well as experience leading operations at the secondary school level. We are looking for a Principal who is confident, stable, and clear in your leadership. You have the ability to look beyond immediate concerns, see the bigger picture, and simultaneously be close to operations. With pedagogical insight and a development-oriented approach, you drive the school's work forward and create favorable conditions for student learning and development. You are relationship-building and establish trusting relationships with students, staff, guardians, and partners. You communicate well and create participation, work enjoyment, and engagement. You are persistent and solution-focused and maintain calm and direction even when circumstances change. You make well-founded decisions, see possibilities in complex situations, and learn from your experiences. You actively contribute to the development of the entire elementary school system and are confident in your role as the school's representative. We warmly welcome your application!
