KLS in Ugglarp is now offering, in collaboration with the Swedish Public Employment Service and Astar Education, a recruitment training program in butchering and slaughter, with an estimated duration of approximately 40 weeks. The food company KLS, which is a leader in the Swedish meat industry, needs to hire new employees. The company is having difficulty finding trained personnel in the industry and is therefore interested in training butchers and pork slaughterers themselves. The first part of the training runs from October 5, 2026 - June 11, 2027 and gives you foundational knowledge. After that, you will start a summer temporary position for approximately 8 weeks starting in week 24. After the summer temporary position, training may continue depending on your progress. Upon successful completion of the training, you will be offered a probationary employment contract with KLS. The recruitment training is full-time and is aimed at those who are registered with the Swedish Public Employment Service and are completely unemployed. Theoretical and practical modules are alternated, and the practical training parts take place at the workplace approximately 4 days / week. Who are you? - You are completely unemployed and registered with the Swedish Public Employment Service and are interested in work in the food industry. - You enjoy physical work as the work can be demanding. You work standing up. - You have a category B driver's license and access to a car, which is required to get to the workplace. There is no public transportation in the area. - You can communicate in Swedish and read and understand instructions and safety regulations. - You are over 18 years old.
