We work in teams within acute care in medicine, cardiology, pulmonology, stroke, and infectious disease at Östersund Hospital. We also operate outpatient clinics for several of these patient groups.
We have 13 staff members in the professions of physical therapist and occupational therapist. The unit's task is to provide inpatient and outpatient patients within medical somatic specialized care with occupational therapy and physiotherapy.

WORK DUTIES
As a rehabilitation assistant, your main placement is in the infectious disease department, where you collaborate with the department's physical therapist. You support certain administrative tasks for the physical therapist but primarily assist in training and treatment for the department's patients.
You also assist the unit's other occupational therapists and physical therapists with training, mobilization, and assistive device trials as well as group training. You work on assignment and delegation from licensed personnel and do this independently.
You handle documentation in the journal system based on the work tasks you perform with our patients.
QUALIFICATIONS
You are trained as a nursing assistant or have equivalent education that meets the needs outlined in the job description. You can work independently and after introduction can work under delegation. You enjoy leading and assisting patients in their individual training or group training.
