Our Operations The Rehabilitation Unit organizes the hospital's occupational therapists, physical therapists, social workers, and speech-language pathologists. We are responsible for interventions across the hospital's various care units within the departments of Medicine and Surgery, as well as specialized outpatient care. The work group currently consists of approximately 30 employees, some new to their profession and others with extensive experience in their roles. As a new team member, you will be offered an individually tailored introduction with the opportunity for a mentor to provide guidance, support, and development in your role as a physical therapist. Your Assignment As a physical therapist, your assignment is to work in collaboration with other colleagues in a patient-centered manner based on each patient's individual conditions and needs. Work tasks may include functional assessment, training, and assistive device fitting. Together with the patient, we focus on interventions that provide support for safe discharge home. Instruction and training in transfer techniques for ward staff as well as student supervision may occur. For you to thrive with us, we see that you appreciate varied work and want to work in a team. Your Qualifications We are seeking someone who is a licensed physical therapist. If you have prior experience working as a physical therapist, we greatly value that, but we also welcome newly graduated professionals. As a person, you have a positive outlook on life, have strong collaborative skills, and enjoy working in a team while feeling great responsibility for your own contributions and our patients.
