The Sustainability Department leads, develops, and coordinates a systematic and strategic group-wide implementation of VGR's sustainability goals. The Sustainability Department is part of the Group Staff for Regional Development and is located at the Group Office. We are now seeking a regional developer in sustainable chemical and pharmaceutical use who wants to drive societal development with a focus on implementing sustainability goals. The work takes place in broad collaboration with VGR's administrations and companies, as well as with relevant actors in other regions, academia, business, and civil society. Your Assignment You will work in the Sustainability Department and together with your colleagues create conditions for VGR's implementation of sustainability goals with focus on resource-efficient and toxin-free objectives. You do this by coordinating, supporting, and developing work together with the region's administrations and companies. You will: - conduct strategic development work in sustainable chemical and pharmaceutical use - together with administrations and companies, take initiatives for measures needed to reach our sustainability goals - coordinate development projects and work on reducing chemical and pharmaceutical pollution through, among other things, requirements in sustainability-prioritized procurement - conduct analytical work, such as analyzing the effects of various measures within sustainable chemical and pharmaceutical use - prepare matters for politics when the Sustainability Department provides support to, among others, the regional board's sustainability committee What Can We Offer You? To Succeed in the Role To succeed and thrive in the role, you have extensive knowledge of sustainable chemical and pharmaceutical use from a broad perspective, engagement, and the ability to lead and drive processes at a strategic level within the area. You are someone who enjoys the interaction of working both with others and independently. You have good collaboration skills and responsiveness since the work involves contact with many different actors, but can also "take a stand" when needed to move the work forward. The work also requires you to take initiative, have analytical skills, and structure in keeping activities and contacts organized. You enjoy leading meetings and presentations and have good communication skills both in writing and orally. You have: - University degree in a field relevant to the position, such as chemistry, toxicology, ecotoxicology, and/or pharmacology - Several years of professional experience with strategic work to reduce environmental impact from chemicals and/or pharmaceuticals - Experience leading and coordinating processes within the environmental field It is meritorious to have: - Experience working in a politically governed organization - Experience with environmental requirements in procurement and purchasing It is important to us that you can work based on our values: - Together we make each other successful. - We listen in.
