Do you want to lead a region – and help others succeed? NBV is looking for a regional director who wants to combine clear leadership with a strong commitment to society. As a regional director with us, you'll have significant responsibility and great opportunities to make an impact. You'll lead one of NBV's four regions with responsibility for operations, results, and budget. Through your leadership of the region's district directors and coordinator, you create the conditions for employees and operations to achieve their goals. This is a role for someone driven by making things happen and skilled at leading and making decisions – in an organization where adult education, temperance, and civic engagement are at the core. About the job As regional director, you create clarity and direction for the region's managers and support them in succeeding in their roles. You have the ability to delegate, follow up, and set demands when needed. You work closely with the regional board and are responsible for providing input for strategic decisions as well as reporting on operations and finances. You also play an important role in relationships with funders and other partners, and you drive development in the region. As regional director, you're part of the national leadership group of regional directors along with the other regional directors and the rector. There you contribute to NBV's shared development and represent your region's perspective. You also lead the work of the local leadership group. The role includes, among other things: Leading the region's managers and coordinator and creating conditions for good results. Having responsibility for leading the local leadership group and for the region's personnel, operations, finances, and results. Leading and following up on budget, goals, and operations, and delegating responsibility. Building trusting relationships with the regional board, funders, and other partners. Driving development and change in the region and contributing to NBV's shared development Who are you? We're looking for you – a confident and driven leader with the ability to switch between a long-term strategic perspective and what needs to be done right now. You lead through change, take initiative, and don't give up when the path forward is challenging. The role involves close collaboration with a volunteer board. Therefore, you need to have a good understanding and respect for the board's role, be able to build trust, and at the same time be clear about what's required for the operations to develop. You share NBV's fundamental values regarding temperance, democracy, and civil society, and you feel confident leading in a values-driven organization. We're looking for someone who has: Documented experience managing other managers. Experience with budget, results, and operational responsibility. Drive and desire to develop operations and results. Ability to build trust. Good Swedish in speech and writing. B-category driver's license. Post-secondary education relevant to the position, as well as experience in adult education or other work within civil society, is desirable. What can NBV offer you? You'll get an independent and rewarding leadership role where you have great opportunity to influence both the region's and NBV's development. The position is located at one of the offices within Region North. The position is a permanent employment at 100 percent with an average working time of 38.5 hours per week and with goal-based working hours. The work involves travel within the region and nationally. Evening and weekend work may occur. We offer our employees the opportunity for a favorable wellness subsidy, wellness time, lunch subsidy through a national meal card, a subsidized bicycle benefit, and a subsidized public transportation pass. The final application deadline is September 13. The position will be filled according to agreement.
