About the Position
We are seeking a structured and committed accounting economist who wants to join our finance team. This position reports to the Finance Director and is responsible for ensuring accurate accounting, regulatory compliance, and financial reporting within the organization.
As an Accounting Economist, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting monthly and annual closing processes, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and internal guidelines. You will work closely with operations managers, external auditors, suppliers, customers, and other team members within the finance department.
Examples of Duties:
Financial Accounting and Reporting
Responsible for accurate ongoing accounting and bookkeeping.
Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations.
Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
Assist in preparing annual reports and audit documentation.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal control procedures.
Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
Manage and support processes for accounts payable and receivable.
Follow up on outstanding receivables and payables, and investigate discrepancies.
Ensure accurate and efficient handling of invoices and payments.
Internal Control and Regulatory Compliance
Maintain strong internal control procedures and documented processes.
Support internal and external audits.
Identify risks and propose improvements to financial processes.
Collaboration and Communication
Work closely with operations managers and support functions.
Provide financial support and guidance to colleagues.
Contribute to improvement and development initiatives within the finance department.
We are Looking for You Who Have
Experience in accounting or a similar finance function.
Solid knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Experience with ERP systems and accounting software.
Very strong Excel skills and good analytical abilities.
Fluent Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

This is initially a temporary position to cover parental leave through June 2027. For the right person, however, there are good opportunities for this position to develop into a permanent employment later on, depending on operational needs.
