Accounting Economist at Vattenfall

About the Position We are now seeking an experienced accounting economist at Vattenfall. In this role, you will be part of the finance department and be responsible for ensuring accurate and high-quality accounting with a particular focus on fixed asset accounting and investments. You will work closely with colleagues in finance and operations to ensure that financial reporting maintains high quality and contribute to closing and reporting processes. The role offers varied tasks with both ongoing accounting matters and more investigative work. The position includes the following responsibilities: - Manage ongoing accounting and reconciliations of selected balance sheet accounts - Participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual closings - Support operations with ongoing financial matters - Ensure that accounting complies with applicable regulations and internal guidelines - Prepare reports, analyses, and materials for audit and internal follow-up - Contribute to development and efficiency improvements of accounting and closing processes - Contribute your accounting expertise and serve as an advisory resource in meetings and forums within the organization - Prepare materials used in business planning - Structure and manage matters in the fixed asset register Assignment Period and Scope: The accounting economist position is a full-time consulting engagement starting September 7, 2026, and is expected to run through December 17, 2026. Requirements for the Position: • At least 5 years of experience with ongoing accounting, closing, or similar tasks in an investment-intensive operation • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and closing procedures • Skills in Excel and preferably experience with the SAP accounting system • Fluent Swedish both spoken and written For us to be able to move you forward in the process, you must clearly demonstrate in your CV that all of the above requirements are met.
