About HSB Södra Norrland HSB plans, finances, builds, and manages housing throughout Sweden – currently a total of approximately 25,000 rental apartments and 340,000 cooperative apartments. HSB Södra Norrland operates in Gävleborg, Västernorrland, and Jämtland. Here we serve approximately 430 housing cooperatives and other property owners with a comprehensive range of management services. HSB also has approximately 2,000 rental apartments in the region. We are supported by nearly 230 dedicated employees, and we now need to strengthen our team with an economist. You will be based at either the Sundsvall or Östersund office. About the Role The role is adapted based on your experience and offers the opportunity to gradually take on greater responsibility. As an accounting economist, your primary task is to support customers with financial and administrative matters. For the more experienced role, this includes budget and closing work, financial advice, and comprehensive customer responsibility where you are the primary contact for housing cooperatives' boards and chairpersons. For a more junior profile, there is an opportunity to start in an assistant role with support from experienced colleagues, where tasks mainly include ongoing bookkeeping, reconciliations, accounts receivable and payable, invoicing, and loan management. Regardless of your starting point, you'll have an important role in developing within the finance field and gradually taking on greater responsibility as you gain experience and expertise. Your Profile We're looking for both those at the beginning of your career and those with several years of experience in finance. You have post-secondary education in finance or equivalent work experience. As a senior profile, you are comfortable with ongoing bookkeeping and closing work and enjoy customer contact. It's advantageous if you've previously worked in the housing industry or with financial analysis. As a junior economist, we believe you are newly educated in the field, perhaps completed a substantial internship, or have been working for a year or so with, for example, ongoing bookkeeping and reconciliations. As a person, you are structured, thorough, and responsible with a good sense of service. You enjoy working both independently and with others, have good collaboration and communication skills, and can adapt your message to your audience. You are comfortable planning and prioritizing your work, enjoy working with numbers, and have analytical ability. The role suits you if you want to develop within finance and contribute with a professional and customer-oriented approach, whether you are at the beginning of your career or have several years of experience. Requirements for the Position Post-secondary education in finance, such as university or vocational school, or equivalent work experience Basic knowledge of financial administration and bookkeeping Experience with or interest in working in financial systems; we use Agresso and Hypergene Strong administrative skills and experience with Microsoft Office, especially Excel Very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written Meritorious Experience with ongoing bookkeeping and customer contact Experience from the property or housing industry Experience with budgeting, closing, or financial analysis Other Information Start Date: As soon as possible and by agreement Engagement Type: This is a staffing assignment with good opportunities for permanent placement.
