ABOUT THE ROLE
We are now seeking an Accounting Economist/Accounting Manager for our office in Örebro. In this role, you will have overall responsibility for some of our Swedish companies, which includes responsibility for accounting, financial statements, and reporting. You will work closely with other colleagues in the accounting team as well as controllers and other colleagues at Nexer and are expected to take a leading role in developing and streamlining our financial processes.
You ensure that accounting maintains high quality, complies with applicable regulations, and delivers accurate and relevant information to management and the group. The role involves both operational work and strategic elements, where you actively contribute improvement suggestions and drive change initiatives.
The work is performed at our office in Örebro.
Responsibilities
As a senior accounting economist/accounting manager, you will, among other things:
• Be responsible for accounting, monthly and annual financial statements for some of our Swedish companies
• Ensure quality and efficiency in accounting processes
• Handle VAT, taxes, and government reporting
• Annual report work
• Cash flow forecasts
• Participate in group reporting and consolidation matters
• Be a key person in financial analysis and reporting to management
• Drive improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of new working methods
WHO ARE YOU?
We are looking for someone with several years of experience in accounting and financial statement work, preferably in a larger corporation. You have relevant academic education in economics, good knowledge of accounting systems and reporting, and are comfortable in the role of accounting manager.
To succeed with us, we believe you are structured, thorough, and self-motivated, while also enjoying collaboration and contributing to the team's development. You have a solution-oriented approach and see opportunities in change.
Meritorious experience:
• Knowledge of the accounting system Visma Control and PX
• Good knowledge of K3 and/or IFRS
• Experience with project accounting
• Experience with group accounting and reporting
• Experience with tax matters and payroll-related accounting entries
