Pinewood is in an exciting phase of development with a strong focus on moving the business forward, creating efficient working methods, and building a sustainable profitable business. As part of this journey, we are now strengthening our finance function with an accounting economist who wants to combine operational finance work with a natural business mindset and an interest in improving working methods and processes.
As an Accounting Economist at Pinewood, you will be part of the finance team and work closely with the CFO and one additional colleague in a broad role with significant responsibility. You will be an important part of daily finance work while having the opportunity to use your expertise, commitment, and ideas. Beyond ongoing finance work, you will be involved in improving working methods and developing processes for an even more efficient finance function together with the finance team. The role offers great freedom and can to some extent be shaped based on your experience, expertise, and drive.
Your tasks will include:
Ongoing accounting and account and bank reconciliations
Accounts receivable and monitoring of payments
VAT reporting, periodic compilation, and other regulatory reporting
Responsibility for parts of monthly and annual financial statements and financial reporting
Accounting for group and property companies
Participation in the development of financial processes and working methods
Contributing financial expertise to operational and development projects

YOUR PROFILE
We are looking for someone with post-secondary education in finance or equivalent experience and several years of experience in accounting work. You have good knowledge of accounting and experience with financial statement work. If you have experience in international trade, e-commerce, or international VAT matters, for example within OSS or VOEC, we see that as a merit. If you also have experience with Business Central, that is an extra plus. As a person, you are organized, thorough, and responsible. You are comfortable working independently but also see the value of close collaboration with your colleagues. You are curious about the business and like to understand how finance and business fit together.
