This is why we are seeking an accounting manager who wants to help strengthen and develop our finance unit. The Finance Unit is part of the Finance Department at the Municipal Administration Office, with the Finance Manager as department head. The unit consists of eleven employees, including an accounting manager, accounting strategist, two accounting economists, two finance assistants, three finance controllers, operations controller, and unit manager. Your main workplace will be at Djursholm Castle with excellent parking facilities, located near Djursholm Center. Danderyd Municipality offers hybrid work. 1 position(s). WORK TASKS As accounting manager, you have overall responsibility for the municipality's accounting and year-end closing work. You ensure that the accounting maintains high quality and complies with applicable legislation, recommendations, and internal guidelines. The role involves close collaboration with other colleagues in the finance unit and with other accountants in the municipality. You report to the unit manager who directs and distributes daily work within the unit. You will work with, among other things: • Ongoing accounting and quality assurance of bookkeeping • Monthly, interim, and annual accounts • Consolidated accounts for group companies • Interim reports and annual reports • VAT and tax matters in municipal operations • Development and efficiency improvements of accounting routines and processes • Support and advice on accounting matters • Reporting to auditors, SCB, and other external parties QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who has: • A university degree in economics or other relevant education. • Several years of experience in qualified accounting work, including financial statements and annual reports. • Very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish. It is advantageous if you have: • Experience in a similar role in municipal or other public sector operations. • Experience with Unit4 ERP. • Experience in VAT accounting. You work in a structured manner and have a good ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work efficiently.
