We're looking for someone with a passion for cooking who wants to contribute to making every meal a positive experience. We've just opened a new, modern kitchen facility at Ytterbyskolan and are embarking on an exciting development journey. Now we're expanding our team and looking for you to join us from the start as we take the next step in our meal service mission. Today we prepare approximately 1,750 portions per day – and as we move forward, the mission will grow further when we also begin delivering meals to the municipality's care and elderly facilities. In autumn 2026, we're also launching our new concept "Meal as an Activity," where meals become an important part of well-being, community, and quality of life. Here you'll be part of an engaged team where we help each other, share knowledge, and develop our work together. You'll work in a larger context with clear purpose – creating meals that people look forward to. Responsibilities Planning and preparing meals, including special diets and texture-adapted food. Managing deliveries to satellite kitchens. Meeting and serving our guests in the school restaurant. Pre- and post-shift kitchen work. Training staff as needed. Qualifications We're looking for someone who is a trained cook with documented strong cooking skills and genuine professional pride. You have at least five years of experience working as a cook, preferably in both large-scale production and restaurant operations. Requirements for the position: Trained cook. Documented strong cooking skills, with at least five years of experience working as a cook. Good computer skills and ability to handle digital systems, ordering, and administration. Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. Ability to work in a structured, thorough, and high-quality manner even at a fast pace. Ability to prepare meals for elderly care, including texture adaptation and desserts. Capable of preparing Swedish home cooking and vegetarian dishes. Able to work according to food safety control programs and applicable food regulations. Meriting qualities: Good knowledge of special diet preparation. Experience with nutritional data software. Knowledge of meal delivery logistics. Great weight will be placed on personal qualities. Selection and interviews will be conducted on an ongoing basis.
