About Österåkers Gymnasium Österåkers Gymnasium is a smaller high school (approximately 600 students) with the opportunities of a larger school. This gives us good conditions for actively working with good relationships and meeting our students with high expectations. We offer the Economics Program, Natural Sciences Program, Social Sciences Program, Technology Program, and two Introduction Programs. We have secured seven years of financing from the EU for our Erasmus projects and international collaborations. The school also has many student enterprises that compete with their business plans and collaborate with our local business community. Being in a municipality with a clear business profile provides great opportunities. Students can also combine their studies with sports profiles. Our Golf profile is a NIU - nationally approved sports education and accepts applicants from the entire region. Österåkers Gymnasium has a very high proportion of qualified teachers and low staff turnover. We have, among other things, teachers who have earned doctorates, teachers whose literary works have been published, and teachers who have worked on competence development at the national level in education. We also have six senior teachers who work on school development in various projects. Students who want to study more or have extra time with their teachers are given the opportunity to do so, among other things through many staffed study hours. The school's safety team has a special mission to increase accessibility for students and to be present in facilities and during lessons. The safety team and mentors collaborate by regularly discussing safety issues and how to behave towards each other. In the latest safety survey, 91% of students reported feeling safe in our school. Your New Job You will work in the heart of the school as a central hub. At the school reception, you help students and visitors with various questions and direct them correctly. You receive absence reports from staff and convey substitute information to our substitute pool. A very large part of the work involves supporting students in increasing their well-being and attendance. You will help mentors handle absence investigations and conduct supportive conversations with students with attendance problems. You are responsible for documentation to CSN. You serve as a central person in organizing national tests, exams, and major retests, and collaborate with other administrative staff and school management during startups, closings, and conferences. Your Profile You should have experience with conversation methods or coaching of students in difficult situations. You should be able to communicate well with good customer service. You should be knowledgeable in digital systems and administrative programs. You should have experience planning and executing events. You should have a solution-oriented approach and have patience when meeting with students, guardians, and staff. Employment Scope 80-100% For this role, the starting salary is normally between 33 000 – 38 000 kr depending on experience and qualifications.
