Receptionist for Small Animal Department, UDS

About the Job As a receptionist at UDS, you will work in a varied role in a 24/7 operation at Sweden's only university animal hospital. You will be part of our customer service team that handles services and reception of our customers. Reception duties include everything from phone booking to personal greeting of our patients and clients. You will also work on other typical reception tasks and, when needed, assist with other duties at the clinic. Shifts are scheduled seven days a week, including evenings and weekends. Your Background We are looking for someone with experience in reception work or equivalent and a strong service orientation. You speak and write fluent Swedish and have computer skills. Experience from reception work at an animal hospital/veterinary clinic is beneficial, as is experience with the Provet Cloud patient management system. A background as an animal care assistant or other experience that the employer deems equivalent is also beneficial. You have strong communication skills and see offering professional service to our customers and building good relationships with colleagues, students, referring veterinarians, and partners as an important and natural part of the work. You should be able to communicate in English and handle occasional high-pressure situations, as UDS is an emergency animal hospital with a dynamic environment and high patient flow. We will place great emphasis on your personal qualities. About Us The Department of Clinical Sciences is responsible for undergraduate education, research, and postgraduate training in anesthesiology, diagnostic imaging, animal care, epidemiology, laboratory animal science, surgery, clinical chemistry, medicine, and reproduction. In all these areas, our activities span all animal species. At SLU University Animal Hospital (UDS), education, research, and advanced animal care go hand in hand. We train tomorrow's veterinarians and animal care nurses and provide first-class care for companion animals, competition animals, and production animals. We also share knowledge with the public. By combining established knowledge with the latest research results, we develop the future of animal care. Under one roof, we offer healthcare for horses, dogs, cats, and other small animals. In addition to modern, operationally adapted facilities, we have access to advanced diagnostic imaging and a veterinary medical specialist laboratory. UDS operations also include an ambulatory clinic that travels to stables and farms to examine and treat horses and farm animals.
