About the Position
As a Quality Engineer, you have a key role in ensuring high quality and strong customer relationships. You are the customer's primary contact person for operational quality matters and are responsible for quality performance toward one or more strategically important customers.
You drive complaint handling and improvement work in close collaboration with internal functions and lead work with root cause analyses and 8D processes. Through a structured approach, you ensure that measures are implemented, followed up on, and deliver long-term results.
The role involves many touchpoints where you coordinate cross-functional teams and contribute with both leadership and business acumen to create value for the customer and the business.
The assignment starts in September 2026 and is a temporary position of approximately 12 months. For the right person, there are good opportunities for continued employment with the customer after approximately six months.
Your Responsibilities
Be the customer's primary contact person for operational quality matters
Handle customer complaints according to automotive standards
Lead and coordinate 8D work and root cause analyses
Drive improvement initiatives together with cross-functional teams
Ensure reporting and follow-up of quality-related KPIs
Manage and update customer portals within agreed timeframes
Contribute to long-term quality improvements and high customer satisfaction
Support the business with quality and product-related matters
About You
We are looking for someone who is communicative, structured, and confident in dialogue with customers. You have the ability to build trust, drive issues forward, and maintain focus even when the pace is high. You are accustomed to taking responsibility, making decisions, and moving work forward through collaboration and clear communication.
Required Competencies
Experience with quality work in the automotive industry
Experience with customer complaints and quality follow-up
Good knowledge of 8D methodology and improvement work
Experience leading cross-functional teams
Familiarity with quality-related KPIs
Experience with customer portals and customer communication
Strong English skills, both written and spoken
Meritorious
Post-secondary education in quality, engineering, production, or equivalent
Experience with quality standards in the automotive industry
Knowledge of product safety and risk management
