QCS Service Engineer

We are strengthening our Scandinavian Service team and are now looking for a QCS Service Engineer to join us in delivering world-class support and expertise for our Valmet IQ solutions. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to deepen their competence within automation, customer support, and the pulp and paper industry while working closely with customers and colleagues across Scandinavia and our global organization. About the Role As a QCS Engineer, you will be one of our customers' key contacts for Valmet IQ systems. You will take ownership of service cases from start to finish, working closely with customers and supported by our product experts and global operations network. The role combines field service work, technical problem-solving, customer interaction, and participation in modernization and upgrade projects. This position is ideally based in Karlstad. However, we are also open to candidates based in Örnsköldsvik or Umeå, as the role involves regular travel to customer sites across Scandinavia. Your Key Responsibilities Provide service and support for Valmet IQ systems 24/7 on-call service on duty roster Build and maintain strong customer relationships Plan, execute, and document service visits Perform preventive and predictive maintenance activities Drive optimization and performance improvement initiatives Participate in new deliveries, system extensions, and upgrade projects Provide remote technical support when required Collaborate closely with colleagues in Scandinavia, Product Line teams in Tampere, Finland, and our global Operations Network Who We Are Looking For We are looking for a technically oriented and customer-focused colleague who enjoys solving problems, taking initiative, and working collaboratively across teams and functions. Relevant engineering degree or equivalent experience gained through working with industrial automation/QCS Experience with QCS systems; Valmet IQ knowledge is considered an advantage Process knowledge and experience from the pulp and paper industry Process, tuning and configuration knowledge Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to work independently and make decisions, even in challenging situations Strong organizational and prioritization skills Fluent in Swedish and English Valid B driver's license Willingness to travel within Scandinavia Join our great team - this is what we can offer At Valmet, you will have the opportunity to grow and thrive in a dynamic, international environment.
