About the Workplace Ersta Hospital is part of Ersta Diakoni and is Sweden's largest mission-driven hospital with a clear value foundation – to see the person. Since 1851, we have provided healthcare on Södermalm in Stockholm. Today we receive patients from throughout the country. Here, high medical expertise is combined with a person-centered approach. As a university healthcare facility, we conduct research, education, and development in collaboration with Karolinska Institute. In recent years, Ersta Hospital has grown significantly to help more patients and continues to develop specialized care. In Trauma Treatment, we meet adult patients with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) following, for example, torture, war, migration-related trauma, or sexual violence. Psychologists, physicians, physiotherapists, and social workers work together here to provide patients with comprehensive care based on the needs of the whole person. The clinic is a relatively new operation at Ersta Hospital and is conducted in newly renovated facilities at Erstaklippan. This means you are joining an operation that has both established expertise and the opportunity to help continue developing working methods and treatment. We are now seeking two licensed psychologists for the team – one full-time and one at 70%. About the Role As a psychologist with us, you work independently with patients within the clinic's PTSD mission and are simultaneously an important part of the multiprofessional team around the patient. You conduct psychiatric assessments and provide evidence-based treatment for PTSD. Patients' needs are often complex, and in the treatment plan you need to be able to take into account both comorbidity and the patient's social situation. You work closely with your colleagues and section manager and also contribute to the clinic's continued development and improvement work. This is an assignment for you who want to use your psychological expertise where it is truly needed – in encounters with patients with severe experiences and often complex care needs. Who Are You? You are confident in your professional role and accustomed to working independently, while at the same time appreciating working closely with other professions. You see the value of different perspectives and contribute to good collaboration around the patient. You are attentive and communicate clearly and constructively with both patients and colleagues. Because the clinic is still developing, you also need to be flexible and comfortable with working methods continuing to evolve. You enjoy sharing your expertise and want to contribute to developing the operation together with your colleagues. Your Experience We are looking for you who are a licensed psychologist and have substantial experience in trauma treatment for patients with PTSD. You have basic training in evidence-based treatment for PTSD, trauma-focused CBT, or EMDR. It is a merit if you have: experience working with patients who have experienced sexual violence, torture, war, or severe migration-related events good differential diagnostic competence experience working with interpreters knowledge of additional languages.
