About the Operation The Reception for Gaming Addiction and Screen Health offers CBT treatment for gambling addiction (addiction to gambling for money) and video game addiction. Our patients come from throughout the Västra Götaland Region and can seek help from us starting at age 16. Our goal is to be Sweden's leading knowledge center regarding gambling and video game addiction and to disseminate current knowledge in an easily accessible way. Treatment is provided either individually, in groups, or through internet-based treatment. The treatments also include components from Motivational Interviewing. We work systematically with evaluation of our treatments and integrate clinical operations with development work, quality improvement, and research. The reception is staffed by psychologists, social workers, and administrators. We also have researchers and doctoral students associated with the operation. The reception has well-developed procedures to support your work, as well as experienced and helpful colleagues. You will receive regular supervision from a licensed psychologist. You will also participate in the reception's weekly treatment conferences, present your cases, and develop ongoing plans for patients together with the team. Job Duties We are now seeking a psychology assistant who can assist in the ongoing follow-up of our treatments. The main job duties will be to conduct follow-ups on treatment effectiveness by telephone. In addition, you may systematically compile information for research studies and operational development. If needed, you may also conduct new patient visits at the reception or other tasks related to the reception's ongoing work. The scope of work may vary over time but is estimated at approximately 1-2 days per week. It is desirable that you have the opportunity to attend treatment conferences that take place on Tuesday mornings. This is a part-time position for one year with possible opportunity for extension. About You We are seeking someone who is a psychology student and has completed their internship period. You need to have good organizational skills and be detail-oriented.
