Work Tasks As a psychologist with us, you work with psychological assessments, investigations, and treatments, both individually and in groups. You are part of our interdisciplinary team and work closely with physicians, nurses, social workers, occupational therapists, and administrative staff. The work involves both independent work and collaborative involvement in team planning, development of patient flows, and daily clinic operations. We meet patients with broad psychiatric issues, where treatment occurs both individually and in established group formats such as UP-groups, STAIR-groups, and ADHD step 2. We are currently engaged in active development work within adult psychiatry, where you as a psychologist have the opportunity to influence. This includes further developing approaches to assessments, treatment plans, group activities, digital interventions, and how we work with patient flows and waiting lists. About the Workplace Adult Psychiatry Clinic 3 is part of specialist psychiatry in Region Västmanland and serves patients in Västerås, Surahammar, and Hallstahammar who need specialist psychiatric care. We work in two teams and receive patients based on birth date to create a cohesive and well-functioning care chain. New as a Psychologist For those of you who are newly licensed psychologists, we offer a two-year competency package to provide a smoother transition between the role of PTP-psychologist and licensed psychologist. The competency package includes: - Activity-specific course - Participation in a national/Nordic congress - Observation in primary care, rehabilitation, child and adolescent psychiatry, adult psychiatry, or forensic psychiatry (total five days) - Opportunity to take supervisor training in year 2 - Personal follow-up by an experienced psychologist Qualifications We are looking for someone who is a licensed psychologist or who is in the final stages of your PTP-service. It is an advantage if you have experience with clinical work, for example in treatment, investigation, or psychiatry. If you have experience working with patients who have experienced trauma or training in psychotherapy, that is also positive, but not required. For the role, you need to have good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing as well as basic computer skills. We place great emphasis on your personal qualities. You work independently and in a structured manner, take initiative and responsibility for your work, and have good judgment. You work well with others, are flexible when conditions change, and maintain calm and focus even in pressured situations. You meet patients and colleagues with a professional approach and have good empathetic ability.
