Your Workplace At Health Center Rud in Karlstad, we care for approximately 8,800 registered patients. The counseling clinic's mission is to assess and treat mild to moderate mental health issues in adults. Here, a psychologist and a healthcare coordinator work together as part of a team with seven nurses, eleven physicians, two nursing assistants, a foot care therapist, and five healthcare administrators at the health center. The health center is well-staffed with permanent personnel and accepts nursing and medical students for clinical placements, as well as training AT and ST physicians. We offer a stimulating work environment with good social climate where both independent work and teamwork are important elements. The counseling clinic at Health Center Rud is well-functioning with short wait times. We are proud of the good collaboration between professions and the physicians' and nurses' attentiveness to the psychosocial perspective. The interprofessional work functions well and provides important support in more complex patient cases. We have a positive atmosphere with motivated work groups that have developed local solutions for work procedures and routines for the patient's benefit based on continuity of care. Your Responsibilities The counseling clinic works with focused treatments for patients suffering from mental health issues or illness. The work is conducted from a general medicine perspective in close collaboration with other activities at the health center and with internal and external actors, such as Health Center Värmland, which offers internet-based cognitive behavioral therapy (ICBT). We do not offer supportive counseling; instead, we focus on structured treatment methods, primarily cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and psychodynamic therapy. The responsibilities also include neuropsychiatric screening. Development work is underway regarding counseling clinics in primary care in Karlstad, and it would be positive if our future psychologist would like to contribute. Your Knowledge and Competencies We are looking for you who are a licensed psychologist and have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. As a person, you are self-driven, enjoy taking initiative, and have the ability to work independently within given parameters. You prioritize and organize your work efficiently. You enjoy collaborating with others and always keep the overall operations in focus when making decisions. You are goal-oriented and actively work to achieve results that make a difference for both patients and the organization. It is advantageous if you have experience in treatment work.
