Description Would you like to work in an environment with high competence, quality, and great colleagues? At Kärraskolan and Svenska Balettskolan, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to the development of psychology services in school and make a difference for students' health and learning. Perhaps you're the psychologist we're looking for. Kärraskolan encompasses grades F-9 and adapted primary school and is located in central Kärra, on Hisingen. It's surrounded by green areas and has been largely newly built in recent years. Approximately 820 students attend, of which 35 students are in adapted primary school. Svenska Balettskolan is a unique primary school with a government mandate to provide preparatory dancer training in grades 4–9. The program has national recruitment and is operated by the primary school administration. The school is an independent unit with approximately 110 students from across the Västra Götaland region who come to us daily to study all regular primary school subjects and train dance at elite level. Svenska Balettskolan is located at Selma Lagerlöfs torg in Backa. Job Duties We're now seeking you to work as a psychologist in our student health teams. Approximately 90–95% of your assignment is based at Kärraskolan, with the remaining time at Svenska Balettskolan. Together with other professionals in student health, you'll support school leadership in removing barriers so that all students can actively participate in instruction and be part of a safe social environment. Typical tasks for the psychologist in school may include: - mentoring individual teachers or work teams - providing professional development to other professions in relevant areas, such as mental health - conducting various forms of individual assessments - collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders, for example parents and healthcare providers - contributing to and participating in school development work and values-based work For the parts of your work that fall under the Health and Medical Services Act, a quality management system and methodological support have been developed. There is also a local PLA (Patient Safety Officer) for support and professional development in patient safety matters. All health and medical services work, such as psychological assessments, should be conducted in appropriate facilities that also include office space. As a psychologist in the Hisingen education area, you'll have a psychology team of approximately 20 people nearby, including professional development specialists and a PLA. The team strives for a collaborative culture and meets regularly for collegial support, professional development, supervision, and professional growth. Newly hired psychologists are always offered a mentor. Qualifications We're seeking someone who is a licensed psychologist. You have knowledge of assessment of intellectual disabilities and are well familiar with appropriate assessment instruments. It is meriting if you have: • experience working in school • some form of advanced training in supervision/consultation methodology As a person, you have the ability to build trusting relationships.
