Description The Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Clinic at NU-sjukvården currently has approximately 150 full-time employees. These consist of treatment assistants, leisure educators, doctors, nurses, social workers, psychologists, psychotherapists, team secretaries, dietitians, special education teachers, speech-language pathologists, and occupational therapists. Right now, the BUP clinic is undergoing major development and organizational work to evolve the operation in relation to patients and care stakeholders. This concerns accessibility, current guidelines and care programs, and how we should organize the BUP clinic to meet current expectations. We need to challenge our established patterns and discover new possibilities while preserving the experience we have and what we know works. Job Responsibilities As a psychologist, you conduct child psychiatric assessments, investigations, and treatments. To support assessments and investigations, there are jointly developed templates, reference documents, and guidelines. Treatment can be provided individually to children/adolescents, within families, or in groups. We work using different methods depending on the nature of the case and what is deemed most appropriate in each individual instance, based on the National Board of Health and Welfare's guidelines and our regional medical guidelines (RMR). The work also includes collaboration with schools, social services, rehabilitation services, pediatric medicine, and other organizations around children and families. Work is conducted in close collaboration with other staff, team leaders, and management. Qualified supervision is available within the clinic for treatment and investigation work. The clinic has a psychologically responsible manager (PLA) who is part of the management group. The psychologists at the clinic hold regular meetings to address professional questions and a multidisciplinary reflection forum convenes regularly during the term. Qualifications Licensed psychologist according to Swedish regulations. A clinical trainee (PTP) position is not applicable for this role. We expect that you have an interest in child and adolescent psychiatry, that you are organized, clear, orderly, and flexible, and have a willingness to work and be part of a team. We value qualities such as strong social competence where humor, initiative, and positive thinking are clear assets. Great importance will be placed on personal suitability and qualities such as strong collaboration abilities and the ability to work independently.
