We are now seeking a colleague to join us at Child and Youth Rehabilitation at Gällivare Hospital. At our workplace, in addition to this position, there are two other psychologists and experienced colleagues from several professions with a strong team spirit and cohesion. What you will work with The Rehabilitation unit's target group is children and young people with congenital or acquired functional disabilities. We work in a multiprofessional team that includes; psychologist, nurse, occupational therapist, physiotherapist, social worker, and physician. We also collaborate with a dietitian and speech-language pathologist, as well as with child and adolescent psychiatric services. Good collaboration between the professions is a necessity for quality work with patients and their families/networks. Interventions are planned based on the rehabilitation plan created together with the child and their loved ones. Through our interventions, we aim to reduce the difficulties that functional disabilities may cause in daily life, create conditions for a good life and participation in society. In our work, we start from each individual's unique needs and circumstances. As a psychologist, you will work with assessing and diagnosing developmental-related functional disabilities, providing guidance to parents and networks based on the consequences of the functional disabilities, and providing individual psychological treatment. The psychologist also regularly participates in team conferences for collaboration with other professions and in network meetings for collaboration with other agencies. Training and supervision are also part of the role. Travel may occur within the service area. Child Rehabilitation in Norrbotten is in an intensive development phase where we work systematically with, among other things, knowledge development to improve our care and services.
