Description:

Academic Children's Hospital Small hearts need great care! We are a small hospital in a large organization, and it is in the small things that our greatness lies. Here we have all the expertise a sick child may need, good collaboration, respect and care. We offer a really good introduction for those who are new and many interesting opportunities for development. There is also unexpectedly much joy in what is sometimes very difficult. We take care of the children and their families, and we take care of each other – because we know that we do a much better job together! Our Operations The Children's Hospital's curator and psychology department is part of the Paramedical Children's section, which includes paramedical professions working with children in the hospital area. The department includes psychologists and curators. The Children's Hospital psychologists form a stable work group where several colleagues conduct part-time research. The psychologists work in interdisciplinary teams within, for example, oncology, neurology and specialized pediatric outpatient care. At the children's hospital, psychologists work independently with assessments, treatment contacts and with complex, intensive assessment and treatment periods in multidisciplinary teams. Questions may relate to, for example, learning difficulties, communication difficulties and rehabilitation after acquired brain injury. Complex neuropsychiatric issues are also investigated. Treatment of mild psychiatric problems, behavioral change and compliance related either to the child's somatic underlying disease or treatment is also included. Some of the patient groups we work with are children followed by neonatal follow-up programs, children and adolescents with oncological diseases, diabetes or obesity. Your Assignment You will independently and in teams assess children who have cognitive difficulties due to a somatic underlying cause, and carry out therapeutic interventions for children who have a somatic underlying disease. Your assignment includes neuropsychological assessments in our neurorehabilitation team. As a psychologist, you will participate together with other professional categories in assessments, investigations, action planning and information transfer to school and other networks. You also provide support, information and advice to parents. Some interventions can take place in group activities and your tasks also include giving presentations to other staff groups. Your Qualifications and Competence You who are applying are a licensed psychologist and have experience and interest in both therapeutic treatment and neuropsychological assessment. To thrive in the work, you should be collaboration-oriented, flexible and have experience meeting people with different conditions and needs. You should have an interest in working in teams with other professions. We would like you to have previous experience working with children, for example from children's healthcare, habilitation or psychiatry. You should have a good ability to build alliances between people and we place great emphasis on personal suitability. We Offer We offer a permanent position from October 1, 2026, or by agreement. We apply flexible working hours and access to health benefits and external group supervision. You will have the opportunity for an introduction period where you can learn our working methods.
