Psychiatric Nurse at the PAM Unit Are you a psychiatric nurse with at least three years of clinical experience and interested in prehospital care? Then we have the job for you! We are looking for reinforcement to our psychiatric ambulances (PAM) and to the team at City ambulance station. The Ambulance Care Administration operates psychiatric ambulances (PAM Unit), with one PAM unit running 24/7 and another operating in the evenings. The PAM Unit performs critical interventions and provides high-quality prehospital care to individuals experiencing acute mental health crises. The assignment includes performing assessments and interventions in suspected or high-risk suicide cases, so-called SPIS alarms, and conducting acute psychiatric assessments requiring immediate action in homes or in the field throughout the Stockholm Region. In the PAM ambulance, you work in a team with two psychiatric nurses and an experienced ambulance paramedic to create security for both the patient and their loved ones. Together you provide the best possible care and nursing in the patient's home, at an accident site, and during transport. At accident sites, you often collaborate with police, rescue services, emergency ambulances, and emergency physicians. As a psychiatric nurse, you are medically responsible in the PAM ambulance. You make medical prioritizations, decide on nursing and medical measures based on care needs, and refer to the appropriate level of care. Qualifications: Specialist nurse with a focus on psychiatry. 3 years of professional experience in psychiatric care. Valid B driver's license. Good local knowledge of the Stockholm Region. Fluent Swedish, both spoken and written. It is advantageous if you: Have previous experience from a Psychiatric Ambulance (PAM) Have training in PS (prehospital special care leadership), suicide risk assessment, Bergen training, or S-CPR.
