Jelgavas Municipality announces a competition for the position of Psychologist at the Support Department of the Social Affairs Administration of Jelgavas Municipality.
Key job responsibilities:
- Provide support to children, adults, and families in crisis situations, following violence, suicide risk, accidents, loss of a loved one, or other traumatic events;
- Provide individual consultations to people experiencing violence, loss, depression, or anxiety symptoms;
- Conduct psychological assessment of clients within professional competency;
- Prepare reports, recommendations, and other documentation related to professional activities;
- Provide psychological consultations to social service clients or apply other psychological support methods to help restore their social functioning abilities;
- Collaborate with social workers and specialists from other institutions as needed;
- Conduct group sessions and lectures on stress management, emotional resilience, conflict resolution, parenting skills, and healthy relationships, etc.;
- Provide support to social service specialists through consultations on complex case analysis, reducing burnout risk, and strengthening team cooperation.
Requirements for applicants:
- Higher education in psychology in accordance with the Psychologists Law;
- Desired: at least 2 years of professional experience in the position of psychologist;
- State language proficiency at the highest level in accordance with the State Language Law;
- Ability to work with diverse client groups;
- Ability to apply regulatory acts;
- Good skills in working with MS Office applications;
- Ability to take responsibility;
- Communication skills;
- Desired: Category B driver's license.

Monthly salary: 1430,00 EUR
