Operations - Shift Manager

Description:

Workplace: Kur Hotel Brussel, Anglická 515/4a, 351 01 Františkovy Lázně. Fixed-term employment (1 year) - with possibility of extension thereafter. Start date negotiable / immediately available. Working hours: Mon-Fri 8:00-16:30 or shift-based schedule (Duty Manager - shifts by agreement). Job responsibilities: responsibility for daily hotel operations and smooth functioning of departments (front desk, restaurant, housekeeping, wellness), operational management of front desk (shift monitoring, process optimization, team support, handling non-standard situations), reservation management (reservation verification, pricing, availability, and data accuracy in systems), guest and partner communication (phone/email), request and complaint resolution, collaboration on room and ancillary service sales, upsell opportunities, work with hotel systems and channels (e.g., HotelTime, Profitroom, D-edge, OTA extranets as applicable), deposits monitoring and control, billing documentation and close cooperation with accounting, service quality control and compliance with standards, regular internal inspections, shift scheduling, work organization, training and onboarding of new employees, planning and organizing special events and participation in package development, preparation of basic reports for management (occupancy, operational topics, shortcomings). Requirements: proven managerial experience in hospitality sector required, front desk and reservation experience required, knowledge of hotel systems (HotelTime/D-edge/Profitroom or similar), organizational skills, ability to lead a team, strong communication, independence, professional demeanor, stress resilience, ability to resolve situations quickly, German language skills minimum B1 level (English knowledge a plus), computer literacy (MS Office, email, internet).
