Test Technician for Diesel Engines | Gothenburg | Full-Time

About the Job As a test technician, you will be part of a team responsible for testing diesel engine components and subsystems, such as fuel systems, injectors, oil pumps, and aftertreatment systems. The work takes place in close collaboration with test engineers and component managers, where test results form an important part of product development. Tests are conducted both according to standardized methods and in prototype environments. Your main focus will be work with valve mechanism and urea dosing rigs as well as support within the injector testing process. Example of Work Tasks: Prepare and conduct test activities on engine components and subsystems Install and connect test objects in test cells and connect measurement equipment Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on test rigs Troubleshoot and diagnose test objects and test equipment together with support functions Adjust control system data (ECU) in collaboration with test engineers Report deviations and faults according to established procedures Ensure high quality of measurement data and test results Work with injector testing, which includes testing, troubleshooting, and evaluation of fuel injectors for diesel engines Connect test objects, perform tests, and analyze and document measurement results from injector tests Contribute to a safe and efficient working method in the test environment Who We're Looking For We are looking for someone with a strong technical interest and experience in mechanical work, preferably related to diesel engines and test systems. You are thorough and quality-conscious with an analytical and solution-oriented approach. As a person, you are communicative, responsible, and enjoy collaborating with others, while taking your own initiatives and working proactively with a focus on quality and safety. To succeed in the role, we see that you have: Secondary technical education or equivalent technical experience Experience in mechanical work with engines, preferably diesel engines Experience with measurement connections and evaluation of measurement results Experience in testing and troubleshooting fuel injection systems or injectors Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems Experience in chemical handling Good computer skills and experience with MS Office Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written Merits: Previous experience from testing activities or laboratory environments Experience working with ECU systems Experience from the automotive industry Experience in similar roles in testing and development Background Check Information In accordance with our customers' requirements, a background check in the criminal and enforcement registers will be conducted as part of the recruitment process.
