Project Manager at VINAB – Drive Industrial Projects in Swedish Base Industry!

VINAB is now seeking an engaged Project Manager for industrial projects at our operations in northern Sweden. About the Position: At VINAB, you'll have an operational and varied role where you lead projects in the field, work closely with customers, and become an important part of the company's continued growth journey within mining, steel, and process industries. As a project manager at VINAB, you'll be part of a cohesive project team where flexibility, collaboration, and personal responsibility are natural parts of everyday work. Projects are primarily conducted for customers such as LKAB, Boliden, and SSAB and include assembly projects, steel structures, and mechanical maintenance. The role is operational and hands-on – here you're not only expected to lead projects but also to be present in the field, support the team, and build strong relationships with both customers and colleagues. Travel occurs regularly between the company's operations in Norrbotten, with one of the main areas being the Malmfälten mining region. Your Responsibilities: Drive industrial projects from start to completion Plan resources, personnel, and materials Lead assembly and maintenance work in the field Maintain ongoing contact with customers in the mining, steel, and process industries Coordinate welders, assemblers, supervisors, and subcontractors Responsible for procurement, orders, and documentation Monitor project economics, timelines, and quality Ensure work is conducted according to applicable safety requirements and industry standards Work in business and project systems such as NEXT and the Office suite We're Looking for Someone Who: Has experience from the industrial sector and thrives in an environment where the pace can be high and problem-solving is a natural part of everyday work. We'd like to see that you have technical education in, for example, mechanical engineering, industrial technology, production, or project management – or equivalent work experience. Meritorious experience with: Project management in industrial or construction sectors Mining, steel, or process industries Extensive customer contact and personnel management Field work and meeting clear deadlines To succeed in this role, we see that you are: Solution-oriented and driven Humble and collaborative Structured and thorough Social and communicative Confident in making decisions Safety-conscious with high responsibility Other Requirements: B-class driver's license is required. BAS-U certification is meritorious. Good English skills are meritorious, as are additional languages. Practical Information: Work Location: Flexible within Norrbotten. Work Hours: Monday–Friday, with varying hours depending on each project's setup. Travel: Occurs regularly in this position. Overnight Stays: May occur when working at other locations. About VINAB: VINAB currently has approximately 120 employees and operates in northern Sweden, offering services in project management, design, manufacturing, assembly, and maintenance for heavy industry. VINAB currently has offices and workshops in Kiruna, Gällivare, Överkalix, Kalix, Luleå, and Piteå. Our assignments are primarily conducted in the mining, steel, paper, and pulp industries, but we also work with the construction and infrastructure sectors as well as other industrial-related activities.
