The Property Department is one of the Community Development Office's three departments and we own, develop, and manage the municipality's schools, preschools, LSS residences, care and elderly care facilities, sports facilities, offices, etc. – a real estate portfolio of over 350,000 square meters. Your Tasks You lead and manage expansion projects from early planning stages through the planning process to implementation stage as well as inspection and handover. Täby plans to carry out a number of renovation and new construction projects. Simultaneously, long-term maintenance projects and a large number of smaller renovations are being planned. The main tasks are to: • Plan and implement projects in accordance with Täby's project model, in agreed scope, to the right quality, on time, and within budgeted costs • Develop decision-making materials for the political decisions required • Serve as coordinating project manager and ensure that an appropriate organization is set up for design and construction • Call off and participate in procurement of goods, construction contracts, and services • Represent the municipality during inspections • Hand over completed projects from the construction project organization to the operational organization • Participate in developing procedures for management and follow-up of the Property Department's operations You drive your projects independently but collaborate with others in the Property Department and other municipal departments, contractors, technical consultants, and you have ongoing contact with business and community organizations, service providers, and residents. Your Profile As a Project Manager, we are looking for someone with: • An academic degree from a college/university with focus on construction/real estate or equivalent work experience in a relevant field • Several years of experience in project management within construction, and you master the building process and key activities in the different phases from start to finish • Experience and knowledge in construction law • Fluent Swedish in speech and writing It is a merit if you also have: • Experience working in a politically governed organization and worked with LOU • Experience working with projects involving schools, preschools, LSS residences, care and elderly care facilities, and sports facilities To succeed in this position, you need to be structured, self-driven, and efficient in your way of working. You express yourself very well in speech and writing. You are flexible and have good negotiation skills. In the role of project manager, you are a requirement setter, which means you need to be clear, straightforward, and questioning when necessary.
