With us, community development projects are ongoing geographically throughout the municipality and at various scales. Examples of projects that our project managers are responsible for: land development to enable industry's green transition conversion and development of central city districts for retail, hotels, offices and housing development of new residential areas to enable housing for thousands of new Luleå residents Luleå is a city where life between the houses is valued highly. We highlight the qualities of the different seasons to create variety and new experiences. A significantly increased growth rate places great demands on creating and developing attractive living environments. An important area, therefore, is urban development and design of public spaces. Job responsibilities As a project manager, you have overall responsibility for development projects and other complex urban development projects from the initial idea, through the detailed planning process and infrastructure development, to land allocation and land sales and finally handover to the operating organization. You coordinate several subprojects that are driven in parallel within the Municipal Administration, the Infrastructure and Service Administration and with municipal companies. Here you are given an opportunity to develop your creativity, your initiative and your responsibility. Your responsibilities include shaping projects based on political initiatives and steering the projects toward established goals, budgets and schedules. You lead and coordinate project groups with representatives from other administrations, municipal companies, authorities, builders, contractors, consultants and others. During planning and implementation, you cooperate with, among others, urban planners, land and development engineers, construction project managers and your steering group. Qualifications We are looking for someone who has: academic education with a focus on urban planning, surveying or other education that the employer deems equivalent experience leading projects knowledge of project economics good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing valid B driving license It is advantageous if you have: experience from work with urban development issues familiarity with community planning processes and planning processes within a municipality and/or other authority experience working in or near a politically governed organization As a person, you are a natural leader who is confident and skilled at solving problems. It is important that you are structured and have the ability to organize and plan well, meet deadlines and complete projects efficiently. With your unpretentious approach and your focus on the common goal, you are good at creating positive relationships and finding win-win solutions through collaboration.
