From First Meeting to Finished Project As a project manager at KBA, you'll have a free and varied job where you follow projects all the way through. You meet with the customer, estimate the assignment, plan the execution, and are responsible for driving the project forward while maintaining control over personnel, finances, and quality. The scope is broad. One assignment might be an extensive renovation in an industrial environment, another a smaller service job that needs to be solved quickly. KBA has in-house expertise in concrete, carpentry, masonry, excavator, and construction work, which means the project manager will be close to both the people performing the work and the entire execution. – Here you really get to take ownership of your projects. You need to appreciate both large and small jobs and enjoy solving what comes up along the way. We have very broad scope and that's also what makes the work fun, says Peter. Examples of Work Tasks Drive construction and civil engineering projects from first customer contact to finished project. Plan, lead, and follow up on project execution. Responsible for cost estimation, bid calculations, procurement, and finances in your own projects. Lead and coordinate employees and other contractors in projects. Maintain ongoing customer contact and build long-term relationships. Work with both smaller service assignments and larger contracts, primarily in industry and the public sector. Are You the One We're Looking For? We're looking for someone with experience in project management who is used to taking responsibility for driving work forward from start to finish. If you have a background in the construction and civil engineering industry, it's valuable, but it's not a requirement. You could also come from, for example, industry or another project-intensive business. If you have the right experience in leading, planning, and structuring projects, both the competence and support at KBA exist for you to grow into the industry and role. You are experienced in leading others and have an understanding of finances, planning, and follow-up. Experience with larger projects, cost estimation, procurement, or turnkey contracts is a merit, but your combined experience and ability to drive projects is more important than a specific background. As a person, you are driven, responsible, and solution-oriented. You enjoy having much to do, take ownership of your tasks, and can stand on your own two feet, while appreciating a way of working where people help each other and share their knowledge. Since you'll be an important face for KBA to the outside, you also need to enjoy customer contact and be good at creating trusting relationships. A valid driver's license is required.
