We are now looking for a project manager with experience in leading large and complex projects who wants to drive the work with the new tactical transport aircraft C-390 forward. About the Position As a project manager, you will have overall responsibility for the new tactical transport aircraft C-390, which will replace the current TP 84 Hercules. The project is technically complex and involves many interfaces with different areas within the Swedish Armed Forces, suppliers, and FMV. You will lead a project team of approximately 15 people, which includes product managers, systems engineers, and procurement specialists. The project has high priority and the capability that tactical transport provides is an important contribution to the Swedish Armed Forces' continued development and will be a major focus area in the coming years. We are currently in an exciting and intensive phase where contracts have been negotiated for the new system while the current transport aircraft capability must be maintained until the new system is fully introduced in the Swedish Armed Forces. We are now seeking you to lead this complex project and help ensure sustained tactical transport aircraft capability over time. The position is located at FMV's headquarters at Gärdet in Stockholm. Travel within and outside Sweden will occur. About You We are looking for someone with a degree as a civil or higher technical engineer or equivalent relevant education for the field. You also have project management training or corresponding competence acquired in other ways that we consider equivalent. To succeed in the role, it is necessary that you have at least 5 years of experience and excellent knowledge of project management and leading large and complex projects together with a project team consisting of different roles. You have current and relevant experience leading projects with subordinate project team members. The position requires very good knowledge in both Swedish and English, both spoken and written. It is advantageous if you also have had responsibility for underlying projects, and we would like to see good knowledge and experience within the aviation field, as well as experience with public procurement. If you have experience with project planning tools such as MS Project or equivalent, we see that as an advantage. We view it positively if you have experience with project work involving international contacts and if you have had a leading role in negotiations. It is also advantageous if you have experience with technical systems work. Personal qualities are of great importance to us.
