About the Role Sweden has embarked on a historic transition and faces extensive electrification of society. To demonstrate our commitment to contributing to the energy transition and to continue enabling increased electrification of Sweden, we aim by 2030 to distribute twice as much electricity through our grid and to transmit electricity with 99.99% delivery reliability. Our project operations now need to be strengthened with one to two senior project managers with in-depth industry technical experience. Do you have experience leading complex infrastructure projects? Then you might be who we're looking for! The Role of Project Manager We are seeking senior project managers for substation and/or transmission line projects within 20-400kV voltage levels. You will be ultimately responsible for realizing set goals and have overall responsibility for steering projects to the right cost, quality, and timeline. This includes leading and coordinating projects and communicating and representing Vattenfall's interests to other stakeholders such as authorities, municipalities, and contractors. Business travel will occur. Responsibilities and Work Tasks: You will work independently but also collaborate within various project groups on technical matters with the help of internal and external support. Your primary responsibilities include: - Leading, delegating, and following up on work both internally within the project group and externally through our suppliers and contractors - Following up on and serving as a role model for ensuring a safe work environment - Creating and maintaining both external and internal relationships with customers, consultants, and authorities, and collaborating internally with other functions within the company - Communicating and reporting project status to relevant stakeholders and ensuring they have the correct information - Developing strategies to enhance the procurement process together with procurement - Following forecasts and budget tracking for approved projects - Proactively managing risk identification and handling in the project Job Requirements We are seeking you if you have solid experience in project operations within regional or main grid systems and thrive in a role where you can combine structure, business acumen, and collaboration to drive complex projects forward. You have likely worked in areas such as power generation, infrastructure, or construction and have at least 10 years of experience in project operations related to regional or main grid systems. We would like you to have: - Post-secondary education, preferably in energy, electrical power, project management, economics, or law, or equivalent work experience. - Experience with project planning. Knowledge of contract law is a merit. - Good command of Swedish and English, both spoken and written. - A valid driver's license (Category B). As a person, you are self-driven and accustomed to driving processes forward with a focus on results and quality. You have a talent for creating good collaborations and enjoy leading, engaging, and bringing people together around shared goals. The role requires strong communication skills and you feel confident in dialogue with various stakeholders and at different levels in the organization. We also believe you have a technical interest and an ability to see both the big picture and the details. You are comfortable managing different perspectives and requirements while maintaining focus on set goals.
