Description The Department of Technology and Services is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and management of streets, city networks, public areas, land, forests, the municipality's sports and recreation facilities, municipal properties, food services within municipal operations, the municipal vehicle fleet, and temporary staffing for municipal services. The Department of Technology and Services is responsible for planning, leading, and implementing the municipality's investment projects within properties, facilities, and technical infrastructure. The assignment includes ensuring that investments are carried out in a cost-effective, sustainable, and operationally adapted manner and that they contribute to the municipality's long-term development. Responsible for investment projects in their pre-study, planning, and design phases. The project manager shall also serve as a unifying link within and between the departments' line responsibilities in projects. The role represents the municipality as the client and ensures that projects are implemented within decided frameworks regarding economics, time, quality, work environment, sustainability, and operational benefits. The design manager coordinates various functions within the municipality around the investment process's planning and implementation stages. In the coming years, the municipality faces major investment needs in sports facilities and operational properties. Duties · Responsible for leading and implementing planning, coordination, and design of pre-studies and investigations · Coordinate and follow up the municipality's responsible functions in the projects · Responsible for coordinating technical solutions, investigations, and governing documents for relevant investments and projects · Coordinate the process from investigation to design and implementation · Convene and be responsible for reporting to the project steering group · Update and report project status and project closure to the project owner and project client · Identify, calculate, and present investment needs based on both a proactive and current need · Convene and lead work in project groups · Responsible for documentation and filing of project materials · Coordinate decided internal and external development projects · In collaboration with other units, develop procedures for the project process · Drafting of service memorandums and presenting matters for the municipality's elected representatives Qualifications Post-secondary education relevant to the position Project management training Writing in official communication Office software Class B driver's license Leadership Persistent/Decisive Collaboration skills/Structured Ability to build trust and good relationships, both internally and externally Ability to take initiative for development Ability to take responsibility for operations and one's own and others' work situation Leadership in projects Project management Work in project models Municipal Code, public access and confidentiality laws Design knowledge within building, electrical, plumbing, and facilities Other Class B driver's license Competencies and Skills We are looking for someone who is proactive, persistent, has good collaboration skills, and is forward-thinking in relationship-building both internally and externally.
