Project Manager with Broad Technical Background Position: Project Manager Reports to: Technical Manager Work Location: Karlstad or Lidköping, plus travel to other ports Role Summary: As a Project Manager at Vänerhamn, you will support the Technical Manager and Operations Managers in daily operations and become an important part of a team that provides support to our port activities. You will drive and participate in projects together with the Technical Manager, Operations Managers, and other organizational units. Projects are guided by operational needs and may include environmental, warehouse, land, rail, permits, dredging, and maintenance. The role also includes ensuring that Vänerhamn complies with facility responsibility requirements for electrical systems, operating the railway safety system, and ensuring that maintenance measures are carried out. You will also actively participate in procurements of goods and services related to projects and responsibility areas. Job Description: In this role, you will work broadly with project management, follow-up, and operational support across several parts of Vänerhamn's technical and operational activities. Examples of main work tasks include: · Communication, training, and implementation Vänerhamn consists of ports around Lake Vänern, which makes good communication crucial. Social skills and the ability to build long-term relationships are therefore important for the position. · Project management and project support: Manage projects independently and assist the Technical Manager with projects related to warehouses, land, rail, permits, dredging, and maintenance, etc. Manage budget and timeline for your own projects. · Responsible BAS U and BAS P for contracts Railway Safety System: Responsible for, drive, and maintain Vänerhamn's railway safety system and ensure that applicable safety regulations are complied with. Electrical Facility Responsibility Ensure that Vänerhamn complies with applicable regulations for electrical facility responsibility. · Flexibility The role is broad and can develop over time based on operational needs. This means you have the opportunity to influence the content of the role, while tasks and responsibility areas can be adapted to your competence and experience. Requirement Profile: · Driver's License Driver's license category B is required. · Languages Good ability to express yourself well in Swedish both orally and in writing. Ability to communicate in English. · Computer Skills · Education: Relevant higher education in engineering, project management, environment, occupational health, quality systems, safety, or equivalent work experience. Project Management Experience in managing projects according to budget and established timeline is required. Experience from technical projects, contracts, or operations-related development work is meritorious. · Experience: Previous experience in construction and civil engineering, environmental permit processes, project work, quality work, or follow-up of management systems is meritorious. · Personal Qualities: As a person, you are thorough, organized, and self-driven. You are attentive, unpretentious, and enjoy collaborating with others. You have good communication skills and are skilled at coordinating and following up on work processes. To succeed in this role, you need to be able to build long-term relationships, manage multiple parallel issues, and quickly change priorities when the business requires it.
