Job Responsibilities
As a Project Manager for Railway Maintenance Contract West Gothia East, you are responsible for driving, leading, and coordinating work within the contract.
The maintenance contract encompasses five railway sections, of which three sections are part of the western mainline (Laxå-Partille) which is a major focus area and very important for us and our customers.
Your responsibilities will include:
Drive and lead a project team consisting of project engineers, maintenance engineers, and delivery coordinators, and ensure that railway maintenance is carried out according to the agreed contract and set objectives.
In close collaboration with our contractor, ensure that preventive maintenance delivers results and when remedial maintenance is required, it is performed efficiently, all with the purpose of enabling our customers to use the infrastructure quickly, safely, and securely.
In implementing the contract, as the client's representative, you play an active role in management and monitoring. You and your team collaborate internally and with the contractor regarding contract monitoring, execution, and achievement of objectives within safety, quality, work environment, and environment. You are responsible for schedule, cost, and content for everything related to the contract and report progress monthly.

In the role of project manager, you are also a change leader and contribute to the business making the shifts needed to achieve these goals.
The role also includes participating in contract procurements and being responsible for communication regarding contract matters. You will have contact with internal and external parties such as other departments within Trafikverket, the public, municipalities, contractors, and other project stakeholders. You will be Trafikverket's representative at meetings and gatherings related to matters within your area.
Qualifications

You are structured and quality-conscious in your commitments and are a good problem solver thanks to your strong analytical abilities.
We are looking for someone with a university or higher education degree of at least 180 credits (120 points) with technical, economic focus, or similar, or alternatively other education combined with experience that we consider equivalent.
At least 3 years of relevant and current work experience in project management within construction and infrastructure projects with >100 MSEK in total turnover.
Experience from new construction or maintenance projects within railways
Experience working with budgets, forecasts, and financial follow-up
Good ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing
Good computer skills and can easily adapt to new systems
Class B driver's license
It is meritorious if you have:
Current knowledge of contract law in one or more of the areas AB/ABT/ABK and AMA
Experience in project managing railway projects in the near term
