We are now looking for an experienced Project Manager to Hofors who wants to take a key role in implementing some of our most important investments and development projects.

About the role
As a Project Manager at Ovako, you lead investment and development projects from feasibility study to commissioning and handover to operations.
You are responsible for the project's finances, schedule and implementation, and you coordinate internal resources, contractors and suppliers throughout the project lifecycle. Projects are carried out in a technically advanced industrial environment, often in parallel with ongoing production, which places high demands on planning, risk management and safety.
Your responsibilities include:
Lead investment and development projects within production and facilities
Manage budgets, calculations, forecasts and follow-up
Coordinate internal resources, contractors and suppliers
Ensure safe and efficient implementation through risk analyses and project management
Coordinate technical installations within mechanics, electrical and automation
Participate in testing, commissioning and handover to the organization
Ensure that projects are carried out with minimal impact on production and in accordance with applicable safety requirements
Your profile
We are looking for someone with solid experience in project management in heavy industry who thrives in an environment where technology, people and business meet.
You have relevant technical education or equivalent experience and are experienced in driving investment projects within industrial operations. You feel confident in dialogue with production, maintenance, suppliers and contractors, and have the ability to create structure, manage risks and ensure progress in projects carried out in parallel with ongoing production.
We would like to see that you have experience of:
Investments and CAPEX projects within industrial operations
Steel, metal, mining or process industry
Procurement, contractor and supplier management
Mechanics, electrical and automation in industrial environments
Reconstruction and development of existing production facilities
Risk management and safety work in production-near environments
You communicate fluently in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing.
