Would you like to combine project management with technology, economics, and close contact with people? Friday is now seeking a project manager for an electrical distribution operation. Here you'll drive your own projects, work closely with both technical specialists and external partners, and contribute to stable and reliable power supply in the region.
In this role, you'll be responsible for projects involving expansion, connection, and maintenance of the local power network. You'll be assigned your own projects that you'll drive from initiation to completion, with responsibility for planning, budgeting, progress, and delivery.
You'll work closely with engineers, contractors, and other project managers. The role also involves many contact points with customers, property owners, suppliers, and other external stakeholders. You're expected to be actively present at project sites and typically spend two to three days per week in the field to follow projects hands-on rather than just from your desk.
Examples of work tasks:
Plan, lead, and follow up on your own projects.
Manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial tracking.
Coordinate contractors, engineers, and other involved parties.
Monitor project timelines, quality, and delivery.
Manage communication with customers, property owners, suppliers, and internal functions.
Ensure work is carried out according to operational requirements and procedures.
Document and track projects in business systems.
We're looking for you who:
Have work experience from a technical operation, preferably in electrical power and energy.
Have project management experience or have worked as, for example, a technician, planner, installation technician, and want to take the step into project management.
Have a good technical understanding and an interest in learning how different parts of a project fit together.
Are comfortable taking independent overall responsibility for your projects.
It's advantageous if you:
Have worked in the energy sector, electrical distribution, or power industry.
Have worked with contractor projects in, for example, electrical, fiber, water/sewage, or related technical fields.
Have post-secondary education in electrical power, energy, technology, or equivalent field.
Have experience with project budgeting and financial tracking.
Have worked with SAP or similar business systems.
To thrive in this role, we believe you're responsible, solution-oriented, and comfortable making decisions. You work structurally and drive your projects forward, while being receptive to the expertise around you.
Since the role involves many different contact points, you need to be communicative and good at building trusting relationships. You're equally comfortable in dialogue with technicians and contractors as with customers, property owners, and suppliers. You appreciate varied work where time is divided between the office, meetings, and site visits.
Additional information:
Work takes place on-site at the client's office in Nässjö. In the long term, there may be opportunities for some flexibility regarding hybrid work based on operational and project needs. Since you frequently work on-site to follow projects, a valid driver's license (category B) is required to easily get around.
Selection is ongoing and the position may be filled before the final application deadline.
About the employment:
This is a consulting assignment where you'll be employed by Friday and work on assignment with our client. As a consultant, you'll have a consultant manager who supports you throughout the assignment and helps you in your continued development.
Scope: Full-time
