Local Planning Unit West (LplE V) The Local Planning Units (LplE) are part of the Swedish Armed Forces' (FM) facility management expertise and represent FM as a client in relation to support agencies such as the Fortifications Agency (FORTV) and the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV). Local Planning Unit West consists of approximately 35 employees and has a geographic responsibility area covering Halland County, Västra Götaland County, Värmland County, and Örebro County. The unit's task is to support organizational units in the garrisons of Halmstad, Gothenburg, Skredsvik, Skövde, Såtenäs, Karlsborg, and Kristinehamn with the Armed Forces' infrastructure. LplE is responsible for garrison planning, new/reconstruction (procurement), management (maintenance), and disposal of land and facilities. LplE also supports the headquarters with information for planning and operational assignments and in developing governing documents. Work Tasks You will serve as the Armed Forces' project manager (referred to within the Armed Forces as object manager) and represent the client in new construction, extensions, and reconstructions. As an object manager, you will drive projects from the early stages through handover. The role acts as the client's representative in relation to the Fortifications Agency and FMV. You are responsible for developing needs documentation and provide support during the design and construction phases. The role also includes maintaining contacts with various units within the Armed Forces and relevant agencies. You will work independently with significant personal responsibility. The work involves, among other things, leading project groups, which entails extensive personal contacts and some travel (including overnight stays). In the unit, you will be part of a work group consisting of other infrastructure officers, object managers, and supervisors with whom you have continuous dialogue. In the North division, you are part of the team responsible primarily for Kristinehamn Garrison, but other locations may also be relevant. You may need to assist with and take on all types of tasks within LplE's area of responsibility. Remote work from home is not possible. Requirements Academic degree from a construction, civil engineering, or property-focused university or engineering education, or equivalent as assessed by the employer. It is also possible that you have work experience that is assessed as equivalent. Minimum 3 years of current and relevant work experience from the construction or property sector Category B driving license (manual transmission) Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish Good knowledge of MS Office Personal Qualities As an object manager, you have many contacts both internally and externally, so it is important that you are good at collaboration and building good relationships.
