Project Manager for Technical Publications

Your Future Challenge As a project manager in the Technical Publications unit, you will be part of one or more project teams driving the work carried out in the Integrated Product Support (IPS) section. You will report to your line manager and to the IPS manager in the projects. Your role involves efficiently planning, coordinating, and driving the development of product documentation for the military vehicles developed here at BAE Systems Hägglunds. All development is conducted through projects, where you lead the group of technical communicators working in the project. Your shared goal is to meet the customer's requirements for product documentation, within the project's delivery schedule and budget. You will work with requirements and risk management together with project members from other IPS units. You work toward common goals, where you are responsible for deliverables from Technical Publications. Who We Are Looking For Since our projects are often complex and involve many interfaces, it is essential that you are collaboration-oriented. Furthermore, you handle customer contacts in a professional and business-like manner. Because we work in an international environment, you need to be able to express yourself fluently in both speech and writing, in both Swedish and English. You have experience in project management, preferably in the technical communications field. As a leader, you are solution-focused, structured, and communicative. At the same time, you are resourceful, driven, and take responsibility for your deliverables. You are interested in technology, analytically minded, and have the ability to quickly develop a comprehensive understanding of a system. Good IT skills are important prerequisites for success in this role. We work with XML based on the S1000D standard and use software such as Corena KCC, Arbortext, FrameMaker, Congree, and SAP VEA.
