About the Position
You will lead exciting and nationally important development and implementation projects linked to the future electricity system. The projects often span the entire chain from feasibility study to implementation and typically have a clear IT connection, where business-oriented IT solutions are developed and deployed to support operational management. This involves managing new technical challenges, changing requirements, complexity and digitalization – while ensuring continued very high operational reliability.
You are responsible for driving projects toward established goals within time and budget, leading project organizations, and reporting to governance and management groups. You maintain contacts with internal and external stakeholders, both nationally and internationally. Assignments vary in scope and complexity, and may also include other types of business development projects within the division's area of responsibility. In your role as senior project manager, you will increasingly lead projects with high complexity and strategic significance, while contributing your experience and perspective to the unit's and organization's continued development.

You will join the Operations Project Management unit, which currently consists of eleven engaged employees of various ages with an equal gender distribution. We staff our projects with project managers and supplement with change managers, assignment managers, administrators, and schedulers as needed.
In the System Division, we work to develop and operate the Swedish power system. We ensure that electricity can be transmitted safely and efficiently through the national grid and that the balance between production and consumption is maintained every second. We are a key player in the energy transition and create conditions for a robust and operationally reliable electricity system. Education:
Academic degree in engineering, IT, or economics, or equivalent competence that Svenska kraftnät deems relevant
Very strong ability to express yourself orally and in writing in Swedish and English
Experience leading development and/or implementation projects, including responsibility for delivery regarding time, cost, and results
Experience implementing business-oriented IT solutions
We are looking for project management experience at a level corresponding to:
Project Manager: At least four (4) years of project management experience, including at least two (2) years in projects with large scope, complexity, and responsibility, or
Senior Project Manager: At least eight (8) years of experience, including at least five (5) years in projects with large scope, complexity, budget, and responsibility, with experience acting at a strategic level.
Meriting Qualifications
Project management experience in operations with close connection to operations and management, preferably in mission-critical infrastructure
Experience working with SCADA/EMS systems
Experience working in classified security operations or with special security requirements
Work experience from the energy industry, including good understanding of the Nordic power system structure and operations
Experience with change management in large organizations and/or implementation of regulations
Certification in project management (IPMA, PMI, or equivalent)
Good to Know
The position is located only in Sundbyberg.
Opportunity for remote work up to 50%, if work permits. #LI-hybrid.
Travel within the Nordic region and Europe may occur
