Project Leader for ESF Project in Adult Education

Would you like to develop and help develop Strängnäs municipality together with us? The Children and Education Committee's areas of activity include preschool, pedagogical care, primary school, adapted primary and secondary school, upper secondary school, SFI/Adult Education, and student welfare services, as well as the municipality's activity responsibility (KAA). We have approximately 1,000 employees working in the education office's operations. Adult Education in Strängnäs consists of the school form komvux (upper secondary, basic, Swedish for immigrants, and Lärvux). Within the framework of komvux, we conduct vocational training in Industry and courses in health and care at upper secondary level. Adult Education's students form a very heterogeneous group with different backgrounds, conditions, and experiences. Education and skills provision in health and care is a central part of society's and the municipality's future, and we value our vocational training. We are now seeking a project leader for a project position in the project Collaboration for Studies and Work in ÖMS. This aims to reduce study dropouts and enable more komvux students to complete their studies with a passing grade in their chosen course or a degree. It also aims to facilitate young people who complete their upper secondary studies without a degree to be able to complete their studies at komvux. 1 position(s). WORK TASKS Your tasks as project leader are to: • lead other employees within the project together with school management and senior teachers • coordinate and compile various activities and results within the project • represent the project's work to various stakeholders, such as the main project owner, the Children and Education Committee in Strängnäs, and local and regional steering groups. The work will also involve working directly with project participants. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who are/have: • higher education or university degree in pedagogy, sociology, or social work, or other university education that the employer considers equivalent • work experience in adult education • worked with young people or adults who face challenges in their daily lives and are in need of, for example, motivational measures, support with authority contacts, and similar • good experience using IT in your work • good ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing It is meritorious if you have: • experience structuring and implementing planned activities for the target group • experience leading ESF projects To thrive in this role, you need to feel confident taking a leadership position, where there are sometimes demands for both clarity and creativity. As a person, you are structured and persistent, while also having good patience and the ability to remain calm even when situations require extra time and energy.
