Project Manager We are now seeking a project manager for the Sahlgrenska Unit, who wants to help drive our exciting projects forward! The Hospital Properties Department at Sahlgrenska University Hospital (Sahlgrenska Universitetssjukhuset), which is part of Västra Fastigheter (Western Properties) construction and management, is responsible for customer relations, properties, their technical systems, and development to create safe and robust facilities in an important societal operation. We carry out maintenance, tenant modifications, renovations, conversions, and new construction of hospital properties in Gothenburg. The departments within the area are responsible for management, leasing, and development of Eastern Hospital, Sahlgrenska Hospital, Mölndal Hospital, Högsbo Hospital, and Rågården. We are now seeking a project manager for the Sahlgrenska site who wants to help drive our exciting construction projects forward! Your organizational placement will be at the Sahlgrenska site, but you may be driving projects at other hospital sites within the area. ResponsibilitiesIn your role as project manager, you act as the building owner and client representative. You drive and are responsible for all phases of the project, from pre-study through procurement and implementation to project handover. You will prepare budgets, design, and drive projects within the established budget, schedule, and scope. The role is broad as projects vary in size and complexity. You are also responsible for procurement within the framework of public procurement regulations, requisition of necessary consultants and contractors, and ensuring their deliverables. Your area of responsibility includes monitoring project goals regarding results, budget, time, quality, energy, and environment. An important part of your role is maintaining and ensuring good customer dialogue. You report to the project owner and project steering committees, and cooperate with working groups consisting of both those who will operate in our buildings and specialists in the industry. You are also responsible for government contacts, ensuring that necessary permits are obtained, and that laws and requirements are followed. Many of our projects have budgets up to 10 million, and as a project manager with us, you will handle multiple projects running simultaneously in different phases. The position is located at our activity-based office at Regionens Hus in Gothenburg. Since projects are driven from our project offices at the hospital sites of Eastern Hospital, Sahlgrenska, and Mölndal Hospital, your workplace will vary depending on project needs. Travel is thus part of the job, and where possible, we use public transportation for travel. QualificationsYou are educated as a civil or university engineer in society building or have other education and experience deemed equivalent. You have previous experience leading property projects in positions such as project manager, assistant project manager, project director, or similar, where budget responsibility, financial management, and monitoring are included. Negotiation experience and good customer dialogue are areas you master well. It is advantageous if you have experience with construction contracts and knowledge of contract law. If you have worked in accordance with public procurement regulations, this is also advantageous. You thrive with great responsibility and understand the importance of always keeping the overall perspective in mind.
