Construction Project Manager – Avesta Operations (PMO)
Outokumpu Avesta is growing – and now we are looking for a technically strong project manager who wants to drive our construction projects. With us, you will have a central role in developing, modernizing and future-proofing our production through qualified maintenance efforts and facility modifications.
This is a role for you who enjoys working close to operations, likes to be out in the facility and wants to drive projects from early feasibility studies to finished delivery. You will be the one who holds everything together - technically, financially and schedule-wise.
About the Role
As Construction Project Manager, you lead the construction technical aspects of projects of the nature of re-investments, modernizations and process technical upgrades.
You are responsible for the entire project lifecycle: from feasibility study through implementation and closure. This in close collaboration with maintenance, production and external stakeholders.
You are a support as an expert in construction technology and construction processes to the entire organization in feasibility studies, procurements and project implementation.
You will, among other things:
Drive technical feasibility studies, needs analyses and develop requirement specifications
Lead projects according to Outokumpu's project model
Take responsibility for budget, scope and schedule
Coordinate and lead internal specialists and external suppliers
Lead and follow up construction projects through the entire process
Ensure that projects are carried out in accordance with building codes, legal requirements and our safety and quality requirements
The role is operations-focused – you move around a lot in the facility, have dialogue with technicians, maintenance and production and ensure that projects work in practice.

You are positioned centrally in the Asset Management & Investments organization, part of Outokumpu Avesta's Project Management Office (PMO), our joint project office.

Who Are You?
We are looking for a project manager who combines technical expertise with structure, communication and drive. You enjoy leading, collaborating and taking initiative and you like the feeling of seeing concrete results of your work.
You are:
Structured and confident in working according to project methodology
Analytical with good understanding of both technology and the big picture
Communicative and collaboration-oriented
Curious, development-focused and used to driving things forward
Operational, practically minded and enjoy working in production
Qualifications
Technical education in construction engineering, or equivalent documented experience
Experience with project management within construction in industry or similar
Good language skills in Swedish and English
Meritorious:
Experience in maintenance, production or industrial environments
Experience with construction technical request for proposals and supplier management
Experience with investment projects
