Plan and implement training initiatives for youth center staff.
Work closely with the facilities and participate in open youth activities.
Work strategically to prevent violence and reduce exclusion.
Contribute to skills development in areas such as violence prevention, social and situational prevention, communication, and gender equality.
The goal is to create safe environments where children and young people have the opportunity to develop, feel hope for the future, and strengthen their independence. Gävle Municipality works with the violence prevention program MVP (Mentors in Violence Prevention). Work at the youth centers began in 2025 and is now to be further developed. You will:
Receive basic MVP training from BIG
Participate in advanced training through the organization MÄN
Be responsible for training and supporting staff at youth centers in Valbo, Bergby, Strömsbro, Forsbacka, Hedesunda, and Sätra
Continue development work at youth centers in Brynäs, Bomhus, and Andersberg
Follow up on staff's value-based work and knowledge development during 2026–2027
Working hours are varied and include both day and evening work. You will primarily work close to the facilities and support each youth center in their development work.
