Gatu och Väg Väst AB is now recruiting a Project Engineer to join our operations in Västernorrland. You'll get a production-focused role where you work closely with the site manager and supervisors, with the opportunity to grow both in your role and with the company. About the Position As a Project Engineer, you'll be an important part of the project organization, working with planning, monitoring, and coordination. You'll support the site manager and supervisors in daily operations and gain broad insight into all aspects of the project—from procurement and finances to schedules and production. This role is ideal for someone who wants to combine structure and administration with hands-on involvement in practical operations. You'll work with procurement, scheduling, and documentation, and support the site manager in financial tracking and forecasting. The role also includes contact with suppliers and subcontractors. You'll participate in project and production meetings and help monitor quality, work environment, and environmental standards. As you settle into the role, you'll have the opportunity to take on greater independent responsibility, drive tasks forward on your own, and gradually take charge of parts of the production. Who Are You? We're looking for someone with post-secondary education in construction, civil engineering, construction management, or project management. You might be early in your career or have gained experience in the construction or civil engineering industry. Previous experience with project administration, production, procurement, financial tracking, forecasting, or planning is a plus. As a person, you're organized and responsible, and you enjoy making things happen. You enjoy collaborating with others but are equally comfortable taking ownership of and driving your own tasks forward. Above all, you have a genuine interest in production and want to develop further in site management and construction. A Role to Grow In This is a position for someone who wants to develop. The expectation is that you'll gradually take on greater responsibility in projects and eventually move toward a supervisory role. How quickly this happens depends on your development, experience, and the opportunities available in the organization.
